• The reports are updated at various times during the week. The data being used is the accumulation of data collected weekly for available library web-based services.
• Reporting dates will range from one week for the largest data to one year or more for the smallest of the collected data.
• Reports are performed once a week to reduce processing time as LITS does not have a dedicated server for report processing.
• Available library web-based services may or may not be reported individually.
• Each analysis program has a different methodology and definition that is applied for generating reports and thus numbers may or may not match between analysis programs although they should be generally close. Keep in mind that these are open source programs and have little to no documentation or support.
• LITS does not verify the generated reports as to their accuracy and the use of the analysis data is strictly as-is.
• Hit, page and other counts are subjective. The analysis reports should be used to verify trends and should not be used as a measurements.
• Specific or additional reporting needs should be addressed with a consultation with LITS, i.e. ARL numbers, grant numbers, etc.

The following open source analysis programs are made available from LITS as-is:

• Analog
• DailyStats
• Webalizer
• AWStats*

Some or all of the above programs can deliver reports for; General Summary; Monthly, Weekly, and Daily Reports; Daily and Hour of the Week Summary; Domain, Organization, Host, Host Failure, Status Code, Directory, Failure, and Request Reports

*AWStats does allow for low level drill-down functionality

Configurable options for some or all of these reports.

• Date Range:
  - Limited to the availability of historical off-line collected data. Processing times for large date ranges will be great. Report requests for large date ranges should be addressed as soon as possible.
• Collected Log Data:
  - Limited to IP addresses, Login accounts, URLs & File Types, HTTP Status codes, File sizes, Referring URLs and Browser Types
• Report Types:
  - Limited to Monthly, Weekly, and Daily Reports; Daily and Hour of the Week Summary; Domain, Organization, Host, Host Failure, Status Code, Directory, Failure, and Request Reports
• Report Frequency:
  - Limited to i.e., weekly, monthly, yearly
