Remote Access to Email and Files

We adhere to the Syracuse University policy on remote access to University networks and files, which may be found at http://cms.syr.edu/security/remoteaccess/index.cfm and encourage all staff to become familiar with these policies. 

Email

Remote access to your email account is available through Outlook Web Access (OWA) at https://exchange.syr.edu     

Files and Data

NetStorage is a web-based program that provides simple Internet access to file storage. It gives users secure file access from any Internet location, with nothing to download or install on the user's workstation. Files and folders on the network can be accessed using a web browser.

NetStorage includes the following features:

• Lets users securely copy, move, rename, delete, read, and write files between an Internet-enabled machine and the network.

• Eliminates the need to e-mail or copy data from one machine to another.

To access NetStorage, you must have VPN client installed on the remote workstation you are using. Please see details at the SUL staff website http://libweb.syr.edu
