Account Retention after Staff DepartureWhen a staff member leaves SUL, ITS will assist in specifying email forwarding and (if requested) copying the user's H: drive to a CD. Immediately after departure, the Novell login account will be locked, and will no longer be available to the former staff member. If the staff member had access to other campus data systems (General Ledger, Payroll, etc.) this access will also be disabled. Email will be forwarded for 90 days, giving the staff member ample time to notify any correspondents of the new address. During this time, the Outlook mailbox will be accessible via webmail at http://exchange.syr.edu After 90 days, ITS will email the user a notification of the date the email access will be terminated.
